Work has finished on renovation of the toilet facilities in the main Chantry building. The previous toilets were installed many decades ago and had become very tired and outdated. The majority of the funding for this project was provided by Enovert Community Trust. This was supplemented by funds raised from events held by Friends of the Chantry and money raised at last year's Fireworks evening. We are very grateful to everyone who supported this very important project.

The new toilets significantly improve the quality of the facilities at the Chantry and are part of a major development programme agreed by the Trustees at the start of 2019.

A sum of £1,169 has been donated to the Chantry by the Co-op Local Community Fund, to be spent on further restoration work at the Chantry.

The Co-op Local Community Fund is a nationwide scheme which has donated over £17 million to local causes this year. We are very grateful to the Co-op and its customers for this donation.

A grant of £1,000 has been received from Tesco's "Bags of Help" scheme. This money has been used to help fund the fitting of a high level of insulation in the massive attics in the Chantry.

The work was completed a few weeks ago and many comments have been already received about how warm it feels upstairs!

As well as making the facility much more comfortable, the insulation will have a major impact on the huge heating bill for the historic building. We are very grateful to Tesco and its customers for this donation.
