The old bar room which was used for several decades by the Social Club, has been the subject of a major renovation project and is now a beautiful Georgian style meeting and function room. The work took 8 months to complete and the end result certainly justifies the enormous amount of effort as well as cost.

The room has been re-named the "Slymbridge Room", in memory of the founder of the original Chantry in Tudor times.

The Slymbridge Room is now avalable to hire for meetings and activities. Due to a number of issues, bookings are not being taken for private parties until further notice.

A major project has been completed at the Chantry to renovate the windows. The project took 5 months to complete and cost a total of £25,500. The project was funded by a grant of £22,500 from Enovert Community Trust and a further £3,000 from South Glos. Council. The condition of the windows had deteriorated to a point where they were not only unsightly but structurally unsound. As well as fixing both of these problems, the project included the fitting of high quality draught insulation to the windows. This will save the charity significant sums in heating costs. The Trustees are extremely grateful to the grant providers for their support in this important project.
