A grant of £1,000 has been received from Tesco's "Bags of Help" scheme. This money has been used to help fund the fitting of a high level of insulation in the massive attics in the Chantry.

The work was completed a few weeks ago and many comments have been already received about how warm it feels upstairs!

As well as making the facility much more comfortable, the insulation will have a major impact on the huge heating bill for the historic building. We are very grateful to Tesco and its customers for this donation.

As part of the transformation strategy for the Chantry, a new website has now gone live!

The new site details information on the groups which meet at the Chantry and the other activities open to the general public. Photographs and details of all of the rooms available for rent are provided as well as hire charges and booking conditions. The site also contains a new live diary of all bookings at the Chantry so that accurate room availability can be seen at all times.

A News page contains updates on things happening at the Chantry as well as information on new groups and activities.

The Fireworks event held at the Chantry on 5th November was a huge sugcess with a bigger than expected attendance!

A total of £1,557 was raised during the evening. As promoted when we sold tickets, this money will be put towards the much-needed renovation of the toilet facilities at the Chantry. The Trustees are hoping to obtain a grant from Enovert Community Trust for this project and if successful, some of the money raised at the Fireworks event would be used as the required "third-party contribution" and paid to the grant provider in order for them to release the full grant.

Thanks to everyone who came along for helping to make it such a successful evening.
