New heating systems have successfully been installed and commissioned in the Chantry main building and Coach House. The project was brough forward and run at a very fast pace in order to get the work completed during covid lock-down, ready for the winter. The contractors, HPR Services, worked very quickly in challenging circumstances and delivered the project ahead of schedule and on budget.

These new systems replace very old storage heaters and will ensure conrollable temperatures at all times in our rooms as well as massively reducing our energy costs and wasted heat.

The Trustees are very grateful to South Gloucestershire Council for the support of this important project

In view of the current COVID-19 situation, the Trustees have decided not to hold an AGM this year. All current Trustees will remain in post until the next AGM.  The Annual Report for 2019 is now available and can be seen here. Any questions which would have been raised at an AGM can be sent to the office.

After a few months of trials, a new online room booking system is now live. This will have major advantages for customers and will significantly reduce the administration overhead for the Chantry staff. The new system enables users to view what is on at the Chantry and will provide a facility for group organisers to add details to promote their activities. The system also shows which rooms are available for booking and enables users to submit a booking request to the office. One major advantage is that the system is available 7 days a week and 24 hours a day so users are no longer limted to contacting the Chantry during offfice hours.

The room booking system is fully integrated into the new website and can be accessed via the "Book a room" page.
