NOVEMBER NEWS FROM THE CHANTRY
What a glorious summer we had this year and our lovely garden was used for several different events. A Yurt arrived for a wedding which took up much of the garden and the Thornbury U.3.A. celebrated 20 years with a picnic and wonderful music from local musicians. Thornbury in Bloom chose a beautiful sunny day to entertain the Judges and people who had helped them throughout the year. The Downpour Theatre Company entertained us in the garden with a presentation of ‘The Witches’ by Roald Dahl in August when we were delighted to have 150 people in the audience.

The Garden Room
Work has started on giving the Garden Room a facelift and Dave, our new treasurer has re-designed the old bar so that all the drinks can be locked away and the room can be let out at any time for daytime or evening events now. The red curtains have gone and are replaced with linen roman blinds and the old chairs have been stripped of their old red cushions and painted a. The stools have been covered in beautiful pale green velvet and there are extra tables so that we can have 50 people sitting down to eat. Sounds inviting doesn’t it? Thank you to all the volunteers who have worked hard and made this possible.
