March News From the Chantry

As spring approaches the Chantry garden is looking beautiful. A chestnut fence has been erected to protect the wildlife garden. An array of bulbs cover the ground under the trees. And now more planting can be done around the fence. Please come in and have a look.

We are now also in the process of completing our history room. Meg from the Museum is kindly working on this for us and it will provide information of the history of the Chantry back to the Tudor times.

We have regular classes with U3A groups, Pilates, Ballet, Yoga, Tai chi, for a full list of our regular classes please go to our website

In the future if you book a Talk/Course/Event/Club with us we will do our best to advertise it for you on this page which has a wide circulation.
We offer very competitive rates for room hire so please do contact us if you are interested in running your own course or classes.

Parkinson’s – Local support group in Thornbury.

Our self-help group meets at the Chantry on the last Friday in every month, from 10.00 to 12 noon.

We offer a friendly welcome and the chance to chat with people with Parkinson’s and their family carers in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

We have quite a wide spread of group knowledge with varying levels of experience of the disease and the local support available from the NHS and Parkinson’s UK. So, if you fancy a chat with people in a similar position as you, come and have a coffee and meet us.
