THORNBURY WRITER’S CIRCLE

Thornbury Writer’s Circle meets every Wednesday evening (except August) in the Chantry, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

We are a mixed group of all ages and both sexes. We bring our writings to read out to other members for their enjoyment and comments. Our work can be short stories, parts of books we have written or poetry. You don’t have to bring anything to read and not everybody is able to make it every week.

The work we do includes fiction, non-fiction, personal experience, humour or profound subjects. We usually discuss points raised by each other’s work. Some of the work can be hilarious.

From time to time we have speakers, usually authors who give us tips and sometimes set us exercises. These are always very enjoyable.

The fees we charge are very modest. It costs just £2 every time we attend (free the first time you come) plus a £5 annual fee.

So if you have stories in you, or poems and want to share them, Thornbury Writer’s Circle is the place to come.

You can contact our Secretary Rosie Webb on 01454 882244 or acsage@blueyonder.co.uk

Andy Sherriff,

Hon Treasurer.
