The Chantry Garden

Perhaps the best feature of the Chantry is its' lovely garden.

The large flat lawn, formerly a tennis court, is great for children's parties and games whilst there is still plenty of space for a woodland garden area.  A huge amount of thought and work has been put into the garden to restore the original pathways and produce a delightful area for the community of Thornbury to enjoy.

Special thanks must be given to the many hours of voluntary time that Frances, Derek and Heather, our gardeners, have devoted to the garden and to John and Jack, our caretaking staff.

Gazebo hire

We have our own small Gazebo, which can be hired for £20.00 per day.  The marquee measures 6 x 3 metres and has a blue frame and top.  It has white walls on three sides – the front 6 metres being open.

We have seven wooden picnic tables in the garden which can be put inside the marquee.

Unfortunately, the tables and chairs we have in the building are not suitable for outside use – if you wish a sit down function in the garden, you will need to hire your own tables and chairs.
